30 Days of Thankful

November 15, 2017

Today I’m thankful for Movies.

Movies are great for dates, bringing people together, a laugh, a cry, and so much more.

Today I “watched” Moana with the little girl I’m watching today. She hapilly sat on the bed while I accidentally fell asleep. I didn’t sleep the whole time but I did zone in and out and that was great. I had hoped she’d sleep but it’s okay.

The other reason I love movies is because it helps bring my husband and I together. We don’t have a ton of similar interests but we do have the same taste in movies. We love Guardians of the Galaxy, Kingsman, and all the superhero movies.

In general movies are all together fun.

Talk soon,

Last night my mother and I went to see The Duff.

It ended up being a great movie. It was fun, encouraging, and had some love in it.

Obviously the movie wasn’t based on the two falling in love. But it was a good story to help move the movie along.

Anyways let me get back to what I wanted to say.

How many of you can relate to this movie? I didn’t think I would until I got through the movie. It surprised me. I just kept thinking I already had a boyfriend so that couldn’t make me a DUFF. Right?

Well I got to thinking after something my mother told me. She said the DUFF could have a boyfriend. All a DUFF is, is an approachable person. So I thought back to my high school days. It’s true I had to be a DUFF because people always came to me to talk, ask for advice, help getting a girl or guy. I just always thought it was because I am a good listener and good at advice giving. I am and that’s what made me a DUFF in my own way.

I feel like there needs to be a better way to classify that person. I mean Wesley (Robbie Amell) said himself “A DUFF doesn’t have to be fat or ugly.”

After the movie was over I rate it a 9 out of 10. I’m proud of the movies coming out lately. More and more they are becoming more encouraging and insightful.

I encourage you to watch the movie. Comment your rating out of 10 below and share what you thought of the movie.
Just do me a favor and watch the movie before judging it. I thought it’d be a stupid and awful movie until I saw it myself.

Remember your teachers in elementary saying it’s not good to judge a book by its cover? Well I wish I would have remembered that before I saw the movie.
