Last night my mother and I went to see The Duff.
It ended up being a great movie. It was fun, encouraging, and had some love in it.
Obviously the movie wasn’t based on the two falling in love. But it was a good story to help move the movie along.
Anyways let me get back to what I wanted to say.
How many of you can relate to this movie? I didn’t think I would until I got through the movie. It surprised me. I just kept thinking I already had a boyfriend so that couldn’t make me a DUFF. Right?
Well I got to thinking after something my mother told me. She said the DUFF could have a boyfriend. All a DUFF is, is an approachable person. So I thought back to my high school days. It’s true I had to be a DUFF because people always came to me to talk, ask for advice, help getting a girl or guy. I just always thought it was because I am a good listener and good at advice giving. I am and that’s what made me a DUFF in my own way.
I feel like there needs to be a better way to classify that person. I mean Wesley (Robbie Amell) said himself “A DUFF doesn’t have to be fat or ugly.”
After the movie was over I rate it a 9 out of 10. I’m proud of the movies coming out lately. More and more they are becoming more encouraging and insightful.
I encourage you to watch the movie. Comment your rating out of 10 below and share what you thought of the movie.
Just do me a favor and watch the movie before judging it. I thought it’d be a stupid and awful movie until I saw it myself.
Remember your teachers in elementary saying it’s not good to judge a book by its cover? Well I wish I would have remembered that before I saw the movie.
